The Highgate Tysons Corner

The Highgate located at 7915 Jones Branch Drive, is a 425,000 square foot 395 unit residential building currently under construction in Tysons Corner. Built by Amherst Property LLC and Kettler, the building sits in the PS Business Park office complex.

The development differs from the other recently completed or approved Tysons developments in several different ways, the most evident being the fact that this building is not a high-rise. Topping out at only 6 floors, this building brings much needed residential units to a neighborhood that is almost exclusively office in nature. Also, unlike other developments in Tysons, this building is not adjacent to Metro, with the Tysons Corner Metro Station a little more than half a mile away. Lastly, the building will feature very little retail with only 2,500 square feet. 

The highgate will target LEED Silver certification and per the Fairfax County staff report will  "create an off-site park, including walking trails and potentially and enclosed dog park". The building is set for completion in late 2016, or early 2017.
