Adair Tysons Corner |
The building is located less than a quarter mile from the Spring Hill Metro
station, the western most station on the Silver Line in Tysons. The Adair sits
on a seven level parking podium that will feature 6,500 square feet of ground
floor retail, and per the comprehensive plan, will designate 20 percent of
units as affordable. Eventually, an adjacent twin tower will be built alongside
the Adair on the north side of the parcel
The building is part of the larger Spring Hill redevelopment, an application by
Greystar, that is one of the largest applications ever approved by Fairfax
County. At full build out, this application will include over 7.6 million square feet of office, retail,
hotel and residential development, spread across three neighborhoods. The applicant will also seek LEED certification for all the
new buildings in this application.
The Spring Hill redevelopment was the first application to break ground under
the revised comprehensive plan for Tysons Corner, which was amended in 2010 in
anticipation of the opening of the Silver Line. The Adair is the second
building in this application to begin construction. The application’s first
building, The Acsent, a 404 unit building located at 8421 Broad St in McLean was
completed in 2012.
Construction of The Adair is anticipated to be complete by the end of 2016.
